What is bakuchiol?

Bakuchiol is a natural alternative to retinol. It was isolated for the first time in 1966 from the seeds of the plant Psoralea corylifolia. Bakuchi is widely used in Indian and traditional Chinese medicine. Bakuchiol, according to a study* from 2018, has a proven effect on photoaging, and reduces wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, but unlike retinol, the skin tolerates it better (*Chaudhuri RK, Bojanowski K (2014). "Bakuchiol: a retinol-like functional compound revealed by gene expression profiling and clinically proven to have anti-aging effects". International Journal of Cosmetic Science). JARDIDORA solid face serum with bakuchiol is intended to be used as anti-age skincare routine for sensitive and mature skin that needs protection from dehydration and weather conditions. Bakuchiol in combination with precious herbal oils and extracts along with cupuacu butter, intensively protects and nourishes skin, induces skin regeneration, protects from premature skin aging and balances skin complexion. JARDIDORA serum is intended to be used as standalone product, to simplify skincare routine instead of commercial skin care routines that combine tonic, serum and cream, but if needed you can combine this serum with tonic and/or day and night cream. Instructions for use: After cleansing/washing face with usual skin cleansing/washing products, apply serum on moist or towel dried skin. Use your fingertip to take small amount of serum, start with amount of grain of rice, and melt this amount of serum between your fingers. What is shikakai?

Senegalia rugata is a spiny climbing shrub native to China and tropical Asia, common in the warm plains of central and south India.[2][1] It is renowned as a raw material for shampoo, and the leaves and young shoots are often eaten. Archaeobotanical evidence shows its use for hair care in the pre-Harrapan levels of Banawali, some 4500–4300 years ago. Senegalia rugata has been used traditionally for hair care in the Indian Subcontinent since ancient times. It is one of the Ayurvedic medicinal plants. It is traditionally used as a shampoo[18] and it is also added in synthetic Ayurvedic shampoos. It is widely known as shikakai, from Tamil சிகைக்காய் cikaikkāy (cikai 'hair'+kāy 'fruit'). In order to prepare it, the fruit pods, leaves and bark of the plant are dried, ground into a powder, then made into a paste. While this traditional shampoo does not produce the normal amount of lather that a sulfate-containing shampoo would, it is considered a good cleanser. It is mild, having a naturally low pH, and does not strip hair of natural oils. An infusion of the leaves has been used in anti-dandruff preparations.[19] Rice in cosmetic use: Rice starch in powder or formulated in a bath product be recommended as a skin repair bathing additive for damaged skin, particularly in the case of atopic dermatitis patients. Hair&Body bar Shikakai and Rice is recommended for hygiene and care of all skin, hair and scalp conditions. The combination of gentle surfactants, prebiotics (not the same as probiotics) and plant extracts obtained by fermentation, balances and nourishes skin, hair and scalp, gently cleans, preserves and strengthens the skin's natural protective barrier; helps with dandruff, relieves itching, strengthens hair, gives it shine and stimulates its growth. Instructions for use: Moisten hair, scalp and body, then wet the bar and rub it between palms to create a gentle lather. Alternatively, use the bar directly on the hair, scalp and body until foam is formed. Apply the foam like regular shampoo and shower gel. Rinse with water, repeat if necessary (long hair). After application, rinse the bar with water, let it air dry (for example on a pad for solid soap) and keep it in a dry place until it is used again. Precautions: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.

Oats in cosmetics:

The oat (Avena sativa), sometimes called the common oat, is a species of cereal grain grown for its seed. Oat has been used for personal care purposes since antiquity. Indeed, wild oats (Avena sativa) was used in skin care in Egypt and the Arabian peninsula 2000 BC.[18] Oat baths were a common treatment of insomnia, anxiety, and skin diseases such as eczema and burns.[18]  Oat is known for anti-inflammatory and anti-itch activity. Studies made by Sur (2008) provide evidence that avenanthramides significantly reduce the inflammatory response.[24]  Moroccan blue chamomile: Cladanthus mixtus has been used to collect certain oils to be used for perfumes and other skin products[7] that calm people down and soothe skin.
