Idea behind JARDIDORA from the owner:

JARDIDORA is an abbreviation of "Jardin de Dora" or Dora’s Garden. Love for gardening, nature, sustainability, and efficiency in beauty routines are all combined in JARDIDORA cosmetics.

JARDIDORA was created because I was not able to find nourishing, functional, natural, and high-quality products for delicate skin in a travel-friendly cosmetics line.

Due to my business obligations I travel a lot and am used to packing multiple times per month. Since my skin craves high quality cosmetics with special ingredients that nourish sensitive skin, I want to ensure that my skincare during my trips is the same as what I practice at home. I wanted a natural cosmetics line that would easily fit in any size cosmetics bag and be packed in travel friendly packaging so I do not have to worry about the amount of liquids I am carrying due to flight security regulations and sacrifice my cleansing beauty routine because I have to leave something behind. As I was unable to find anything natural and effective that also smelled nice and was simple enough to just throw in my bag and go, I came up with idea of creating my own personal cosmetics brand. This line of cosmetics was custom-made for me with the utmost care regarding each and every ingredient and skin-specific function. Initially, I used all the products for personal use, but when I began sharing them with my network, the need to present JARDIDORA to the market became apparent. First products within Jardidora cosmetics were hair and body travel-friendly nourishing & cleansing bars. Cleansing bars are substitutes for regular shampoos and shower gels but in solid form. A cleansing bar is not the same as a soap bar. Unlike soaps, which are made from lye and have high pH value that can dry out the skin, cleansing bars are made from plants, and their pH value is similar to that of the skin, protecting your natural skin integrity and health. After the cleansing bars, idea for a solid face serum was born. The solid serum functions like other liquid serums but is designed in solid form to be travel-friendly and sustainable. This serum offers high-quality anti-aging care with Bakuchiol for the mature skin of your face and décolletage. Since I always want to be well-informed about topics, I love reading scientific studies. That same approach was used in creating the JARDIDORA brand. That is why I am sharing studies in the BLOG section about the ingredients used so that you can be informed in detail if you wish. JARDIDORA is a final result born from close collaboration of 5 different companies all owned and operated by women.

Production

JARDIDORA was developed during 3-year period to make sure everything was done with utmost care and attention so that final products would meet highest quality standards. *See results of dermatological and microbiological tests bellow.

Jardidora was created by many experts in cosmetics manufacturing field. Production is led and supervised by pharmacists and pharmaceutical technicians. Designer of this cosmetics line has educational background in Biology, Phyto aromatherapy and is Certified cosmetics formulator. All products are manufactured according to strictest rules and regulations determined by main European cosmetics certification bodies with utmost quality control. Each ingredient found in products is certified according to EU standards* and all final ingredients are sourced within EU. *EU Regulatory bans more than 2500 harmful ingredients (updated Dec.2024) to be used in cosmetics, while FDA bans only 11. We do not use SCI (sodium cocoyl isethionate), a commonly marketed surfactant derived from coconut oil, due to its negative impact on the environment and human health during production, despite its "green" marketing claims. Our laboratory is certified according to strictest EU standards, and good manufacturing practice. ISO 22716 (Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics) certification, which ensures the highest production standards in the manufacture of cosmetic products. ISO 22716 is one of the key pillars of the new European cosmetics legislation. The legislation sets high requirements in favour of consumer safety. All cosmetic products traded in the EU must be manufactured according to GMP principles. The legislation binds all actors in the cosmetics supply chain: manufacturers of ingredients and cosmetic products, distributors and traders from both European and non-European countries. The aim of GMP is to identify the activities that lead to a final product that meets the expected requirements and thus to product safety. The scope of ISO 22716 is not limited to manufacturing activities, but also includes inspection, storage and dispatch. Sustainability is most important guideline for Jardidora production. Final products do not contain water* which means: concentrated so that you get smaller volume but same or higher amount as with water products; no plastic** packaging, lower weight and carbon footprint. Packaging is made from paper, glass and wood, with **plastic only in most essential part of serum container lid making sure container is safely sealed for your protection. *Water in traces can only be found in raw ingredients. It evaporates during production. Jardidora line is a final result born from close collaboration of 5 different companies all owned and operated by women.

Dermatological tests

Our products have undergone rigorous dermatological testing, evaluated on a diverse group of 50 individuals, consisting of 25 individuals with normal skin and 25 with a history of skin sensitivities. Sensitivity levels were assessed on a scale from 0 (non-irritating) to 4 (irritating).Remarkably, every participant, including those with previous sensitivities, showed zero reactivity to our products, ensuring their safety and suitability for all skin types. Every product is certified as ''non irritating''.

Microbiological tests and safety

JARDIDORA Hair and body bars tested as microbiologically safe products (ISO 29621). Due to their form as solid dispersion with low water contents they are unfavourable environment for microbial growth. Surfactants and essential oils present in product provide extra microbiological protection. JARDIDORA Solid face serum tested as microbiologically safe product (ISO 29621). Since water contents in product are low there are no conditions for microbial growth.
